Barriers of Soceity

POETRY

From far I see only one,
But really there stands a crowd,
All wearing the same brands and carrying the same phones
It really is hard to distinguish just one
As not one is trying to stand out
But trying hard to blend in to be accepted
Be accepted by a society that mouths equity
But forces uniformity
With it’s pressures and disapproving stares
If one does stay true to themselves
To preserve their individuality
They’ll end up here with me
Labeled as different
And left as an outcast
